New for 2023!

What’s New for 2023!

french-wood-bedsDuring 2022 we changed the double beds in each gîte for lovely French wood beds. We also changed all the bedding in the gîtes, and replaced all the pillows and duvets with luxury slumber down products.

We are now replacing all the single mattresses with lovely new top of the range mattresses to ensure the comfort of our guests.

relaxing-poolAlso, in 2022 we changed the swimming pool from a chemically cleaned pool to a salt water pool, so no chemicals are used; which is better for both our guests and the environment.

We also installed a new trampoline in the children’s play area, and have started building a boules area for adults and children to enjoy.

alpacas-20232022 saw the arrival of our four beautiful alpacas which join our hens, rabbits, cats and two cocker spaniel dogs.

All the animals are kept separately from the gîtes to protect our guests who might have allergies or be nervous around animals.

But they are there for those who wish to go and talk to them.

maine-coon-cat2We have also been joined by two more kittens, Maine Coons, who as I write this are six months old and over 6 kg.

They will grow to 14 kg. Big, but very soft and furry!

We have begun upgrading the outside furniture for each gîte ready for the new season to make the relaxing areas as comfortable as possible.

We continue to re-populate the area with new trees, having planted over 100 last year and this year we expect to plant more fruit trees and flowering shrubs.

This winter we have visited like minded businesses nearby and have chosen a number who we are sure our guests will adore. These included massage and beauty treatments, horse riding, restaurant’s and more. They are all family friendly, reasonably priced and offer a warm welcome and first-class service.

Finally, as there is no light pollution here, and the air is perfectly clear, we hope to purchase a telescope to view the night sky which is vast. We hope to be able to allow guests to enjoy this as well.

Very best wishes, Paul and Tara x
